COLD BREW COFFEE - Recipes

 

So you've got a bottle of Grubb Bros Cold Brew Concentrate in the fridge, now what can you make with it?

 

Anything you want! Grubb’s Concentrate stays fresh in the fridge for a month and is double strength, so get creative. You can drink it straight for an espresso-like shot, add it to your favorite cocktail, or use it to liven up your wagyu steak. 

 

Below are some suggestions to get the creative juices going, new ones are always being added so be sure to check it out regularly.

Cold Brew Banana Smoothie (AKA Ugly Juice )

- 75ml GRUBB Bros Cold Brew Concentrate

- 75ml Unsweetened Almond & Coconut Milk

- Banana frozen ( peel before freezing and cut it up )

- Teaspoon of Chia Seeds

- Dash of slivered Almonds

 

Add all to blender and mix for 1 -2 minutes, add water to your liking to adjust consistency. This should make 2 serves. and is crazy good for you.

Cold Brew Turkish Delight

- 50ml Grubbs Cold Brew Concentrate

- 200ml Milk

- Pinch Cardamon

- 1 Tsp simple syrup or sweetner of your choice

- Crushed Ice

 

Add all in ingredients shake well and serve.

Cold Brew Peach and Lime

- 75ml Grubbs Cold Brew Concentrate

- 50ml water

- 30ml Peach nectar

- 10ml lime juice

- pinch sugar

 

Combine all ingredients into an ice filled glass. Stir. Squeeze lime wedge over top and drop into glass. 

Cold Brew Orange Truffle

- 90ml Grubbs Concentrate

- 60ml cold milk

- 30ml chocolate syrup

- 30ml caramel syrup

- 30ml Orange juice

- Ice cubes

 

Whisk together ingredients (except milk). Pour into tall glass over ice, add milk and serve.

Combine all ingredients into an ice filled glass. Stir. Squeeze lime wedge over top and drop into glass.

Something magical happens to iced coffee when you shake it with whiskey and maple syrup: You get a lovely, creamy head of foam on top — almost like a Guinness — that disguises the dark depths below (which contain enough caffeine to power any nocturnal superhero).

 

- 75ml Grubbs Concentrate

- 50 ml water

- 60ml bourbon

- 8 to 15ml maple syrup (depending how sweet you like      it)

 

Measure all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake thoroughly, until chilled and foamy. Strain into glass over ice.

Coffee and Choclate Mud Cake

Ingredients Makes: 1 cake

- 285g plain flour

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 120ml Grubbs Concentrate

- 200ml water

- 140g dark chocolate

- 400g sugar

- pinch salt

- 225g unsalted butter

- 2 eggs

- 2 teaspoons vanilla essence

- 1 1/2 cups desiccated coconut

 

Preparation:30min ›

Cook:30min › Ready in:1hour

Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.

Sift flour and baking powder together into bowl.

In separate bowl, mix coffee 200ml water.

Place dissolved coffee, chocolate, sugar, salt and unsalted butter in a saucepan, stirring over low heat until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. Cool.

Whisk eggs with vanilla essence in separate bowl.

Vigorously whisk egg mixture with chocolate mixture after making sure that chocolate mixture has cooled.

Mix in the flour mixture and the coconut.

Pour cake into 20cm cake tin and bake for 25-30 minutes. Test the cake is done with a knife or skewer.
